ACRO Criminal Records Office is aware of a fake fixed penalty notice (FPN) letter, which has been circulated on social media.

The letter, dated 14th September 2021 and addressed to the Trustees of Guru Nanak Gurdwara Wednesfield, is not a genuine FPN and was not issued by ACRO Criminal Records Office.

ACRO is a national police unit supporting the policing response to the Covid-19 pandemic by administering FPNs issued under coronavirus legislation, on behalf of police forces in England and Wales.

FPNs issued by ACRO are only ever addressed to an individual, using details provided by the relevant police force (the name of which would be included in the letter).

We do not address FPNs to groups or third parties, and we will never request contact details.

If anyone has received an FPN from ACRO and has concerns about its authenticity, please do not hesitate to contact us: www.acro.police.uk/Contact-Us. We will be happy to discuss any concerns.
