Dr Amo Raju OBE DL Awarded Global Disability Inclusion Leader 2025 in Dubai

Dubai, UAE &ndash  Dr Amo Raju OBE has been awarded this year&rsquos prestigious Global Disability Inclusion Leader award by The Forttuna Group at an international ceremony held in Dubai on 6 December, in recognition of his exceptional leadership and sustained impact in advancing disability inclusion nationally and internationally.

The award honours individuals whose work has delivered measurable change in equality healthcare and leadership. Dr Raju has spent decades championing the rights, representation and progression of disabled people in the workplace and wider society.

Dr Raju has played a pivotal role in shaping conversations around disability, mental health, and inclusive leadership, helping organisations move beyond compliance to meaningful, sustainable inclusion. His work has empowered disabled people, influenced policy, and demonstrated the business and societal benefits of inclusion done well.

The Global Disability Inclusion Leader Award was presented in the presence of international leaders, policymakers and healthcare champions, underscoring the global relevance of Dr Raju&rsquos work and the growing importance of disability-inclusive leadership worldwide.

Accepting the award, Dr Raju said:

&lsquoOver the last few years, I have received many local, regional and national awards which is such an incredible feeling but to learn that people abroad have also watched my journey is a powerful yet very humbling feeling. There are so many disabled people across the world who lead by example in their everyday efforts to simply survive and I dedicate this award to them too. Real inclusion happens when we remove barriers, challenge outdated attitudes, and ensure everyone has the chance to succeed.&rsquo

The ceremony took place on Soul Beach in Dubai where leaders in the advancement of healthcare from Germany, Japan, Australia, Holland, India, UAE and the USA received awards for their respective areas of operation including the fight against cancer.

This global recognition further reinforces Dr Raju&rsquos position as a leading voice in disability inclusion and inclusive leadership and highlights the vital role leaders play in creating equitable, accessible and a thriving society for all.
