Thus Spoke Bhai Rama Singh JI of UK

In his autobiography, late Bhai Rama Singh spoke of GurSikh parcharaks (exegetes or preachers) from abroad going to Panjab to preach Sikhi. Despite their vast Sangat-donated resources, Sikh central institutions have failed to disseminate the simple Message of Sikhi as taught by Guru Nanak Sahib.
Prof Arthur J Arberry author of, The Koran Interpreted, (Oxford University Press) describes the revelations experienced by a saintly mind. It is not possible to translate these experiences in human language. Bhai Rama Singh sincerely believed in four unusual happenings in his life: a divine message in the jungle darshan of Guru Gobind Singh Ji gift of Simran and a beautiful dream of Khalsa Raj.
He described true Khalsa Raj. In his own metaphoric way, he saw scenes which now remind one of the 2020&ndash2021 protest led by Panjabi farmers (Kisan Andolan). The GT Road from Panjab to Delhi had become like one Sikhi camp which show-cased Sikhi institutions and ideology to the world.
In years 2000-2001, after many sittings with Bhai Sahib, I interpreted his autobiography giving it the title, In Search of the True Guru. S. Harjinder Singh Mander of Panjab Times UK had first penned the biography in Panjabi as Roop Gobind Ka Raj Khalsay Ka, Sika Soenay Ka. A GurSikh couple from Southall, Bhai Sukhdev Singh and Bibi Amarjit Kaur first persuaded Bhai Sahib to tell his life story for wider Sangat benefit and recorded it in simple Panjabi. I too was persuaded by this Sikhi-dedicated couple and late S. Kesar Singh Mand to undertake the English interpretation as a 400 pages book published by the Panjab Times UK. It was a learning (Sikhi-ing) spiritual experience for me. (As a 6-year child, I recall experiencing the vibration of Waheguru Simran as Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji stroked my back while talking to Bapu Ji, Giani Harchand Singh Bassian &ndash later, of Malaysia.)
Bhai Rama Singh was born in a high caste Hindu family but rejected the Brahmanic ways. He rejected those practicing austerities to attain salvation when Gurbani clearly states that only Naam Simran and Sewa leads to the Sikhi objective of total harmony with The One Creator Being.
Following Operation Bluestar, Bhai Sahib lamented the shameful behaviour of the Panthic leaders. He predicted that the whole country will have to pay for the Indian Army attack on Darbar Sahib. He predicted that those killed will be reborn to punish those responsible.
Bhai Sahib talks of people treating God like a toy and how people think God can be bought off with money.
A life story of a GurSikh which has inspired many.
